Land to Table aims to strengthen the bond between livestock producers and consumers by encouraging transparency and ethical handling. It offers educational programs for people on the land and resources for consumers on livestock production. Through fostering open communication and hands-on experiences, Land to Table seeks to build a well-informed and mutually respectful relationship between producers and consumers, contributing to a more responsible and ethical livestock industry.

Changed the way we approach stock and stock work

Attending a Working Dog and Livestock Handling course with Neil McDonald changed the way we approach stock and stock work. Thirty years of experience was nothing compared to what we learnt in three days with Neil, in understanding livestock behaviour. As a result, we are now more aware, more considered, more effective and safer in the way we go about stock handling. Neil and Helen have reignited our passion for our dogs and livestock and in farming in general.

Interested in a Course?

Livestock professionals have long struggled to obtain formal training. While there are courses available through various avenues, none of them are specifically tailored to livestock handling. Find out more about all our courses available and what’s coming up in your area.

StockKids

Join a group of young livestock farmers from all across Australia as they navigate a twelve-month journey growing up on the land. Follow their day-to-day lives, from tending to livestock, to travelling long distances to attend school, participating in weekend sports, and living on a farm in general. The ultimate objective is to offer consumers some assurance and awareness that we are already equipping our children with the skills and knowledge needed to produce food and fibre that will be available on their tables in the future.
